Summary of news on the Sister Libraries Programme

Last week in Sister Libraries Blog there was more news about one sistership made some months ago. This time, Civic Library of Piran (Slovenia) explains some of the activities that they are developing with its two Portuguese Sister Libraries, as the exhibition of Portuguese poet Luis Vaz de Camoes when in Portugal the Portuguese National Day is celebrated.

Summary of news on the Sister Library Programme

Last week in Sister Libraries Blog, we had a new participating library Utena A. and M. Miskiniai Public Library, that has submitted its form and photos to the blog and it is the third Lithuanian library looking for a sister.

And, on the other hand, we had a new match! Ljubljana City Library from Slovenia and the Regional Public Library Krakow from Poland have decided to accomplish a sister partnership.

Summary of news in the Sister Libraries Programme

There were two novelties in the Programme during the previous week. First, a new library has joined the Programme, it is Korčula City Library “Ivan Vidali” from Croatia and, second, a new sistership has been achieved, the two sister libraries are Ljubljana City Library from Slovenia and the Kaunas County Public Library from Lithuania.

Summary of news in the Sister Libraries Programme

Last week we had a new sistership in the Programme, the sister libraries are Piran Civic Library from Slovenia and Torres Novas Municipal Library “Gustavo Pinto Lopes” from Portugal.

On the other hand, two new libraries have joined the Programme: Bucarest Metropolitan Library from Romania and Kaunas County Public Library from Lithuania, both of them are the second libraries from their countries looking for a sister library.

New Slovenian Public Library in the Programme

Ptuj Public Library from Slovenia has decided to participate in Sister Libraries Programme. You can read its form on “Libraries” tag on the blog. We wish them good luck on finding a sister library!

Second Sister Libraries!

Public Library of Valença from Portugal and Piran Civic Library from Slovenia have decided to accomplish a sister partnership. They have become the second sister libraries on the Programme.

First Libraries Participating at NAPLE Sister Libraries Programme

NAPLE announces that the list of the first libraries that have submitted their applications to participate in the NAPLE Sister Libraries Programme is already available at the NAPLE Sister Libraries’ website. Check the tags LIBRARIES and MAP.

Since this project has no deadline, check out the list often because more library applications will be published as they are received. You can check the call for participation and all the information here.
